SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE
5th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MATERIALS
Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering, Materials and Tribology, Corrosion and Material Testing will be held from
26th – 29th, October 2025 in Plitvička jezera, Croatia.
The official language of the conference is English.
The focus is on metallic alloys, but contributions on other materials (polymers, ceramics, composites) are also of interest to this conference. The aim of the conference is to bring together specialists in material science and to discuss the state of the art from both theoretical and practical viewpoints.

Paper submissions
Please submit your full paper (maximum 10 pages, according to the conference template) including the following elements:
- Title of the paper
- Author names and affiliations (with corresponding author clearly indicated)
- Abstract (maximum 300 words)
- Up to five keywords
- Introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion (structured according to the guidelines)
- Figures, tables, and references formatted according to the conference style
- Topic area relevant to the conference themes

🔹 Official Languages
The official languages of the conference are Croatian and English.
🔹 Conference Badge
Please make sure to wear your conference badge at all times during the event, as it helps you connect more easily with other authors and participants from related fields.
All participants are registered exclusively via the official conference website: https://mtech-conf.hr
Badges will be distributed during registration on Monday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. in front of the main conference hall, and throughout the rest of the day until the end of the sessions.
🔹 Coffee breaks
Coffee breaks will be served in the designated area in front of the main conference hall according to the conference programme schedule.
🔹 Lunch
Lunch will be provided at the hotel Jezero on both Monday and Tuesday for all registered participants.
🔹 Oral Presentations
Each oral presentation is limited to 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for discussion.
All speakers are kindly asked to prepare their presentations in English (PowerPoint format) and bring them on a USB memory device.
The design and structure of the presentation are entirely up to you, so please feel free to organize it in the way that best represents your work.
🔹 Poster Presentations
Poster sessions will take place in the designated area „winter garden“ in front of the main conference hall.
Authors are required to print and bring their posters to the conference.
Poster size: 70 cm × 100 cm.
Please avoid using very thick paper. Adhesive tape will be provided at the venue.
